Rashid is currently part of Gujarat Titans in the IPL. He is set to play IPL 2025 under Shubman Gill’s captaincy.
Taking about SA 20, under Rashid’s leadership, MI Cape Town finished at the bottom of the points table in the first season, despite having a strong squad. Last season, the team missed his services, as Rashid is a key player in their bowling lineup. Unlike the Indian Premier League’s Mumbai Indians, MI Cape Town has had a rough start in SA20, finishing at the bottom for two consecutive seasons. With Rashid’s return, the team will hope for a better performance this season.

Rashid Khan will now lead a team filled with star players like Ryan Rickelton, Dewald Brevis, Ben Stokes, and Trent Boult. The spinner is trusted more than the star English allrounder Ben Stokes, who has experience of leading teams to World Cup wins.
