Indian Premier League franchise Gujarat Titans have planned grand celebrations on the 25th birthday of their skipper Shubman Gill. The right-handed batter will turn 25 on Sunday. On the occasion of his birthday, GT has planned a surprise to unveil a ‘larger than life’ art installation of their captain in Ahmedabad.
The franchise announced that the never-before-seen art installation will be unveiled by the franchise at the Boxpark, Gota in Ahmedabad on Sunday. The franchise also invited fans to be part of Gill’s birthday celebrations.
Shubman Gill celebrates 25th birthday
The franchise also posted on X to share a glimpse of the art installation they plan to reveal on Gill’s 25th birthday. The 2022 IPL champions also revealed that there will be a dedicated wall for the fans to write their wishes and messages for their captain.
Gill joined Gujarat Titans ahead of their debut season in the IPL in 2022. He was one of the marquee players signed by the franchise alongside Hardik Pandya and Rashid Khan before the mega auction. Gill has since been the highest run-getter for the team in the last three seasons with 1799 runs from 45 matches at an average of 44.98 and a strike rate of 147.70. Gill was appointed as the captain of the Gujarat Titans ahead of IPL 2024 after former skipper Hardik Pandya left the franchise to return to Mumbai Indians.
