The official announcement of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is around the corner and we have a major development incoming. IPL 2022 champions Gujarat Titans (GT) will play their opening IPL 2025 clash at their home, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The clash is likely to be played on March 25. Apart from this, the Mumbai Indians (MI) won’t play their maiden home game until March 31.
GT to start IPL 2025 at home
According to the Times of India, the Shubman Gill-led side will open start their hunt for second IPL trophy in Ahmedabad on March 25, three days after the tournament opener. As reported previously, the opening clash of IPL 2025 is likely to be between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
Interestingly, according to reports, the Titans will have a pre-season camp, not in Ahmedabad but in Surat. “GT’s domestic players will undergo a camp in Surat from Sunday,” a source said to the TOI.
More than 200 kilometres away from the Narendra Modi Stadium, GT will have a camp starting presumably on Sunday, February 16. This is due to the fact that the BCCI has denied IPL teams from practicing at IPL centers before the season starts.
