GT vs SRH Predicted XI: Shahrukh Khan in place of Vijay Shankar for GT, SRH to bring Natarajan back

SRH are coming off a huge victory against Mumbai Indians. while GT look to get their winning momentum back after losing to CSK in their last match.

IPL 2023 runners up Gujarat Titans are set to lock horns against Sunrisers Hyderabad in another thrilling encounter in the first match of Sunday’s double header. While SRH are coming of the back of a win against Mumbai Indians where they scored the highest ever total in IPL of 277, Gujarat Titans look to get the winning momentum on their side once again after losing to Chennai Super Kings in the previous encounter.

Gujarat Titans: Shahrukh Khan for Vijay Shankar

Vijay Shankar has been disappointing in the past two matches. The middle order batter has not been able to get himself going at all despite batting higher up the order. In the previous match, he scored 12 runs in 12 balls before getting out cheaply. Shahrukh Khan can bring in the momentum that Gujarat Titans desperately need in the top order. The right-hand batter is capable of hitting big shots and can prove effective if given a chance.

Although Mohit Sharma has been playing as the impact player depending on GT batting second, he has been leaking runs consistently. However, GT are unlikely to tinker with his place because of two specific reasons: His ability to bowl in death overs and his vast experience.

Predicted GT Playing XI: Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Shubman Gill (c), Azmatullah Omarzai, David Miller, Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Sai Kishore, Umesh Yadav, Spencer Johnson, Mohit Sharma/Sai Sudharsan.

Sunrisers Hyderabad: T Natarajan for Jaydev Unadkat

What do you change from a team that has just scored the highest-ever total in IPL history? The answer probably is: nothing. SRH will just hope they are able to replicate the performance of their previous match against Mumbai Indians. Although almost all their bowlers went for a hammering with Mumbai Indians desperate to chase down 278, it should not worry the SRH management too much specially knowing they have the ability to outscore their opponents.

However, Natarajan sat the last match out due to a niggle as Jaydev Unadkat got a look-in. However, the bowler ended up conceding 47 runs in 4 overs. It may force the SRH management to bring Natarajan back.

Predicted SRH Playing XI: Travis Head, Rahul Tripathi, Abhishek Sharma, Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen (WK), Abdul Samad, Shahbaz Ahmed, Pat Cummins (C), Mayank Markande, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan/Upendra Yadav.
