The Gujarat Titans vs Kolkata Knight Riders clash was washed off without the toss taking place. This saw GT being eliminated as KKR secured a top 2 spot in the IPL Points Table. However, as the tournament approaches it’s end, the pertinent question rises – What happens if the knockouts gets washed off?
No one has control of the weather, and with the summer set in, there is always a hint of rain across all regions of India. Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator will be held at Ahmedabad, while the Qualifier 2 and the IPL 2024 final will be held in Chennai. What will happen if these matches are severely affected by rain?

IPL 2024 Reserve Days
After the rain fiasco in the IPL 2023 Final in Ahmedabad, there will be reserve days in IPL 2024. While one game gets washed off that won’t be the case in the IPL 2024 knockouts. Both Ahmedabad and Chennai have respective reserve days for matches to take place in case the need warrants for.
The Qualifier 1 and Eliminator will be held at Motera on 21 and 22nd May respectively. As a result, May 23rd has been adjudged as the reserve day should any of the 2 games gets washed off.
Qualifier 2 will take place at Chepauk and a reserve day has been kept on 25th. And lastly, the final is slated to take place on 26th May. Should that game gets washed off, then a separate reserve day has been kept on 27th May.
