- Anrich Nortje (Injured) – bowling at 100% – The South African quick has been with DC squad but has not featured yet with a hip injury he sustained in the T20 World Cup last year. “Nortje bowled at 100% today at the nets. So, he has to get through another 4-5 overs spell at a hundred per cent capacity. Then, he will get clearance from CSA’s medical team. Then he should be ready to go. We have a few more days before the next game. So, hopefully, he is available for selection from that one,” Ricky Ponting said.

- Mitchell Marsh (Injured): Could be available for KKR match – Australian allrounder Mitchell Marsh missed the Pakistan series after picking up a hip flexor injury ahead of the ODI series. While he is in quarantine and is getting better, it will take another week before he is fit.
“Mitch is getting his quarantine done and will exit on Sunday. We are hoping that he will be available for the game on April 10 against KKR. He picked up a hip flexor strain in Pakistan. So, we need to get a lot of treatment done for him. Obviously, a few good training sessions and we will have him available,” Ricky Ponting said.

As for the match against Gujarat Titans, it was DC’s batting that let them down after bowlers restricted GT to 171. DC lost wickets in clusters and with some poor shot selections as they failed to chase the target, scoring 157/9.
For Gujarat Titans, Shubman Gill and Lockie Ferguson were the stars with the bat and the ball. Gill smashed 41-ball 84 while Ferguson bagged 4/28 to continue Gujarat Titans’ perfect record so far with two wins out of two.
“Both of these guys had outstanding games. Shubman played extremely well, and hit the ball right from the middle of the bat from word go. But at the end of the day, 171 on the wicket was very, very chaseable total. Unfortunately for us, for the second game in succession, we lost three wickets in the powerplay and been behind. Lockie was quite smart. He didn’t really surprise me. I think, there were a few too many soft dismissals from our batsmen. And we were not good enough to get the job done,” Ponting rued.
