GT vs DC Highlights: Watching the match, one might think that the Gujarat Titans forgot that they were playing a T20 game. It felt like they were batting on a fifth-day pitch, which was keeping low, spinning big, and the pacers were hooping it around. They scored just 88 runs, and the Delhi Capitals entered the chase thinking it was a T10 match. All they needed were 8.5 overs to claim a comprehensive 6-wicket victory.
No excuse for the horror show
Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill came out and accepted that the pitch wasn’t to blame for their poor display. Instead, it was the batters who failed miserably.
“Our batting was very average, and it is important to move on and come back strong. The wicket was alright; if you see some of the dismissals, it had nothing to do with the pitch. Poor shot selection, I would say,” Gill said in the post-match interview.

Rishabh Pant: Cricketer or Acrobat?
Pant scored just 16 runs in the match but was awarded the ‘Player of the Match’ award. Interestingly, the wicketkeeper received the award for his brilliance behind the stumps. He claimed two catches and two stumpings, which included a one-handed diving grab to his non-dominant arm and a lightning-quick stumping that gave everyone MS Dhoni vibes.
Rashid Khan’s rescue knock goes in vain
Who would have thought that Rashid Khan would be the highest scorer of the match? The world’s best T20 spinner scored 31 runs from 24 balls after entering the middle, with the Gujarat Titans being 48/6. If it weren’t for his 2 fours and 1 six, the home side could have skittled out 60-70 runs.
