Having won the Indian Premier League ( IPL) last year, Gujarat Titans will be looking to retain the title this year as well. GT will open their campaign against CSK on March 31.The Ahmedabad-based franchise won its maiden IPL title in its debut season last year by defeating the Rajasthan Royals in the final. Gujarat are placed in Group B alongside Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings, and SunRisers Hyderabad.

Ahead of the IPL 2023 auction, the Titans had kept 18 players from the victorious team while releasing six of them. During the IPL 2023 auction, Gujarat Titans signed Kane Williamson, Josh Little, Odean Smith, Mohit Sharma, Shivam Mavi and KS Bharat. New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson for Rs 2 crores while West Indies all-rounder Odean Smith was snapped for Rs 50 lakh.
The defending champions then picked up wicketkeeper-batter KS Bharat for Rs 1.2 crore and Indian pacer Shivam Mavi for a sum of Rs 6 crore. Uncapped Urvil Patel will be part of the team after being purchased at his base price of Rs 20 lakh. Joshua Little for (Rs 4.4 crore) and veteran medium-pacer Mohit Sharma for (Rs 50 lakh) are also the latest additions.
