GT captain Gill couldn’t have asked for a better opening partner this season. After spending years in RR, the explosive Buttler is all ready to commence his new innings with the Titans. The opening duo of Buttler and Gill will surely be a nightmare for PBKS. At no. 3 is the ever-dependable Sai Sudharsan, who has been with the team for a long time now. Their batting depth goes all the way down to number 8, with multiple options including Lomror, Phillips, Sundar, Tewatia & Rashid.
Balanced spin-pace unit
There are no lack of spin options for GT. Spearheaded by veteran Rashid Khan, the spin unit comprises of the likes of Phillips, Sundar and Tewatia. Likewise for pace, Gill has many options he could turn to. Siraj, who is now at his new home in GT after moving on from RCB, will spearhead the pace attack that comprises of Kagiso Rabada and Prasidh Krishna. GT also have the option of fielding veteran Ishant Sharma as well.
Who will be the impact player?
Anuj Rawat can come is an the impact player for GT if the team is batting first. In that case, he will be subbed in the 2nd innings for Mohammed Siraj. Ishant is also another option for impact player if GT is bowling first.
