GT beat RR Highlights – IPL 2022 Qualifier 1: Chasing a target of 189 at the Eden Gardens, Gujarat Titans were dealt an early blow with Trent Boult removing in-from Wriddhiman Saha. But their laugh did not last long.
Matthew Wade and Shubman Gill continued scoring at a brisk rate, stitching together a 71-run stand off just 43 balls. But then, Gill had to depart after Wade failed to answer his call for a second run. Until then, Gill was looking in great touch, smashing 21-ball 35.
His run-out was followed by Wade departing playing his favourite pull shot. While it seemed, he would have cleared the ropes, the ball fell in the grips of Jos Buttler at the boundary line. However, it was Wade’s best knock in IPL as he scored 35 off 30 balls.

IPL 2022 Qualifier 1: GT beat RR STAT ATTACK
- 7 – Gujarat Titans won their 7th match while chasing a target. CSK in 2018 and RR in 2019 won 5 matches while chasing.
- David Miller scored 10 runs off the first 14 balls and smashed 58 off the last 24.
- 189: Gujarat Titans chased the third-highest total in IPL Playoffs. KKR chased 200 against PBKS in IPL 2014, KKR chased 191 against CSK in IPL 2012.

GT beat RR Highlights – Gujarat Titans Enters Finals: Then on, it was all about Hardik Pandya and David Miller. The duo put up an unbeaten 106-run stand off just 61 balls to take Gujarat home and on their debut season.
Hardik was off to a good start from word go and kept scoring at a brisk rate to keep the required run rate in control. He smashed an unbeaten 40 off 27 balls to take the attack to Rajasthan bowler.
Miller did start slowly but he always looked comfortable. Finally, in death, he put his feet on the paddle and took the game away from RR. Although with Obed McCoy giving away just 7 runs in the 19th over, it looked like RR had a chance. But Killer Miller had some other ideas. With Prasidh coming in to defend 16 runs off the last over, Miller took him to the cleaners.

- SIX! 16 needed off 6: Prasidh tried to go wide but instead, he gave away a length ball with plenty of room. Miller smashed it over the long-on for a 6.
- SIX! 10 needed off 5: The second ball was almost identical and Miller smashed it over the mid-wicket for a 6.
- SIX! 4 needed off 4: Prasidh tried a slower ball this time but failed to execute it. Miller smashed it over the mid-wicket for a 6 to end the match with 3 balls to go.
Earlier, Jos Buttler struggled initially but managed to speed up and smash 89 off 56 balls. Sanju Samson smashed 26-ball 47 as Rajasthan Royals posted 188/6 at the Eden Gardens in Qualifier 1.
Sent to bat, Rajasthan Royals lost Yashasvi Jaiswal in the second over. But with Sanju Samson out to prove a point after his India snub, RR posted 55/1 in the powerplay. But it was Samson who had to do the heavy lifting. Jos Buttler struggled.
While Samson missed out on his half-century, falling short by 3 runs, Padikkal played a short cameo of 20-ball 28. But then Jos Buttler charged up. His sudden acceleration helped him smash his 4th half-century after surviving three times. In the end, he smashed 89 off 56 balls to help Rajasthan Royals post 188/6.
