While speaking on commentary, Langer noted that Sharma sensed the moment and set the right field, as any great captain would do. Not just with field placements, Rohit struck gold when he decided to bring back Jasprit Bumrah into the attack and managed to get rid of the dangerous Travis Head quite instantly.

it was a great captaincy by Rohit Sharma there, he played with Travis Head’s mind,” Justin Langer said on commentary.

He had no idea on how to deal with Sam Konstas’ menace as he faltered in field placements for the young opener. While he attempted to play a reverse scoop thrice while playing against Bumrah, Rohit only managed to get a fielder near the boundary line after the first two attempts. Further, the Indian skipper opted to not introduce Washington Sundar into the attack for nearly two sessions, another move that raised eyebrows.
