The Indian Cricket fans can now breathe a huge sign of relief. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is now completely fit and fine. Just 2 days before IND vs PAK clash in ICC T20 World Cup, Rohit Sharma batted nicely in the nets in New York. Team India received a major scare after Rohit Sharma retired himself following his fifty and being struck on his elbow.
The Indian Cricket Team kick started their T20 World Cup campaign with comfortable 8-wicket win over Ireland. But there was a massive concern. Skipper Rohit Sharma albeit scored a fifty, but had to be retired hurt after he was struck on his on arm by a delivery from Josh Little.
Rohit Sharma Fit and Fine!
Following India’s win, Rohit claimed that he was a bit sore from the injury. But now it he is completely fine and has trained well in the nets. It can be well understood that Team India took a precautionary call to retire him hurt to avoid any further injury concerns.
Not just Rohit, ace southpaw Rishabh Pant was also struck on on his arm but he continued fine and remained unbeaten to guide India to a strong victory. “I said it at the toss, we were quite unsure of what to expect from the pitch. It’s a new ground, new venue, drop-in pitch, we weren’t aware of what’s it like to pay on a pitch that is five-months old,” Rohit Sharma said after the game.
And now that he is fit and fine, Rohit Sharma will once again effectively lead his side as India take on Pakistan in a mouth-watering clash on 9th June in New York.
