Former Pakistan wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal has backed Gautam Gambhir as the right man to be the next coach of India cricket team. In an interview with TOI, Akmal claimed that Gambhir had the ability to convert whatever he touches into gold and that it will be the same with the Indian team. Further, Akmal said that there was no need for a foreign coach and that Gambhir was the best option they had.

“Team India doesn’t need any foreign coaches. They have plenty of options and talent. After Dravid, no one can be best and bigger that Gambhir. He was a big player and will become a great coach too. He is the best option India have,” Akmal said.
