Gives 100% to the team: Sunil Gavaskar praises Rashid Khan after heroics vs RR

RR vs GT: Sunil Gavaskar heaped praises for Rashid Khan after his brilliant all-round heroics against Rajasthan Royals

Rashid Khan played a crucial knock in helping Gujarat Titans beat Rajasthan Royals. Not only with the ball, Rashid was brilliant with the bat. This lead to Indian great Sunil Gavaskar lavish quite a few praises on the ace Afghani all-rounder. Gavaskar went on to claim that Rashid wants to give his 100% for the team.

All-Round Brilliance of Rashid Khan

Rajasthan Royals encountered their maiden loss of IPL 2024 campaign, and it came at the hands of GT. One of the chief architects for RR’s defeat was Rashid Khan’s all-round performance. He was extremely economical in his bowling spell. Rashid Khan bowled his quota of 4 overs where he gave away just 18 runs. Coupled with that, he also got the prized wicket of Jos Buttler.

“Rashid did pick the wickets like he usually does when it was needed with the bat, he came in and delivered. And this is the reason why he is such a wanted player by franchises all over the world. They want him because they see his commitment, batting, bowling, fielding,” Sunil Gavaskar said while speaking on Star Sports.

Gives 100% for the Team

Gujarat Titans needed a mega finish to win the game. And once again, it came down to Rashid Khan. The ace all-rounder put up a brilliant cameo innings with the bat. He slammed 4 fours to remain unbeaten on 24 from 11 to guide Gujarat Titans to their 3rd win of the campaign. Gavaskar lauded the heroics by claiming that Rashid always gives his 100% for the team, without even thinking once about injuries.

Look at the way he gives everything while he is fielding. Bowlers sometimes can be a little bit concerned about diving on their bowling shoulder because if they dislocate the shoulder then their careers are in danger, not with Rashid Khan. Rashid wants to give 100% to the team,” Gavaskar concluded.
