Gill & SRK REUNITE, tease fans with World Cup 2023 TWIST

ICC is leaving no stones unturned to make it the biggest spectacle of the decade.

Bollywood’s ‘Badshah’ Shahrukh Khan and cricket’s ‘Prince’ Shubman Gill have reunited, but this time, not for Kolkata Knight Riders. The duo are coming together for International Cricket Council’s (ICC) ODI World Cup 2023 special project. Notably, the tournament is set to be played in India later this year and the cricket council is leaving no stones unturned to make it the biggest spectacle of the decade.

ICC shares SRK’s pic, Shubman teases fan with video

The ICC on Wednesday took to social media to share a picture of Shah Rukh Khan with the ODI World Cup trophy and which left fans excited. “King Khan #CWC23 Trophy It’s nearly here …”, the picture was captioned.

Meanwhile, Shubman Gill also gave fans a little teaser on Instagram. The star batter shared a clip of behind the scenes from set for the World Cup 2023 special video.

India is set to host the ODI World Cup in 2023 between October 5 and November 19. 10 teams are taking part in the 50-over competition.

Notably, India will solely host the Men’s Cricket World Cup for the first time ever. They have previously co-hosted the tournament in 1987, 1996, and 2011.

Host nation India will start their campaign against Australia on October 8 in Chennai. The Men in Blue will take on Afghanistan pn October 11 before the megaclash against Pakistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 15.
