India’s new Head Coach Gautam Gambhir has shared a heartfelt message for Kolkata Knight Riders fans. The former KKR mentor left the IPL franchise to take up the prestigious India Cricket Team job. And now that he has joined the Men in Blue, Gambhir has taken to social media to share a heartfelt message for each and every KKR fans.
Gambhir and KKR posted a heartfelt video and social media. In a major soliloquy, Gambhir went on to claim “I am you Kolkata, I am just one of you”.
Gautam Gambhir says goodbye to KKR
Gautam Gambhir has been the mentor of Lucknow Super Giants for the last 2 years. Following which he joined KKR last season. Under his mentorship, Shreyas Iyer led Kolkata Knight Riders went on to lift the IPL 2024 trophy. But now, after Rahul Dravid left his post, BCCI roped in Gambhir.
Following the conclusion of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Rahul Dravid left his post. And after Dravid left his place, the BCCI appointed Gautam Gambhir to lead the charge for the Men in Blue.
Gambhir’s first assignment will be leading the charge for Team India in the upcoming India vs Sri Lanka series.
