Gautam Gambhir impressed by ‘longevity and consistency’ of Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli playing all three formats consistently has drawn praises from Gautam Gambhir, who thinks he has had a immense impact

One thing that a lot of experts and critics admire about Virat Kohli is the consistency in which he scores the runs in all three formats of the game. In fact, Kohli was the only player to average 50 plus in Tests, ODIs, & T20Is. Ahead of India’s all-format tour to South Africa, Gautam Gambhir lavished praise on Kohli, stating he has had a tremendous impact in all three formats of the game.

“The Impact that Virat Kohli has had in all three formats is incredible – his longevity and consistency with which he has scored in all three formats is commendable,” Gambhir said to Star Sports.

In times when most of the players quit the Test format to concentrate on playing T20 leagues, Kohli is shining bright by managing to play all three formats effortlessly. The sheer consistency at which the former India captain scores his runs, and the small adjustments that he makes, is an inspiration for all the young players.

Also, whenever questions were raised on his form, Kohli has answered by letting his ball do all the talking. The 36-year-old went without scoring a century for over two years in all the formats of the game. But in 2022, he turned a corner and scored centuries in all the formats, by averaging over 45.
