Gautam Gambhir gets his choice on support staff for IND vs SL series, one month remain to finalise rest

India vs Sri Lanka: BCCI agrees to Gautam Gambhir's demands of support staff for IND vs SL series, rest to finalised after the tour

New India Cricket Team head coach Gautam Gambhir has got his choice of support staff for the IND vs SL series. But that’s not all. The final selection will be done after the conclusion of the series. India has a break of one month before the start of the Bangladesh series, during which the remainder of the support staff will be finalised.

In his press conference, Gambhir claimed that Abhishek Nayar and Ryan Ten Doeschate are very close to him. Furthermore, he said that the duo would be a part of his support staff. Sairaj Bahutule and T Dilip are also there in the mix. As for the remainder of the staff, those will be finalised after the completion of the IND vs SL series.

Gambhir gets his choice of Support staff

Reports in the media claimed that Gambhir has wanted the services of both Abhishek Nayar and Ryan Ten Doeschate. And now the BCCI has decided to hear his request.

Minimum Age: 18+
Minimum deposit: ₹500.

“I have worked with people like Abhishek Nayar, Ryan Ten Doeschate very closely. In the last two months, especially in the IPL, I have enjoyed working with them. They are thorough professionals. Hope Ryan and Abhishek can have a successful stint. Hopefully, we can have a successful tenure as coaches. I am really looking forward to working with the rest of the other guys as well. I have had some really good feedback from the players about the other guys. I am really looking forward to working with them,” Gambhir said in the Press Conference.

With the team Abhishek Nayar, Sairaj Bahutule and T Dilip will travel with Gambhir. On the other and, Ryan Ten Doeschate would join the team in Colombo. After his press conference, the T20I squad along with the support staff departed for Sri Lanka.

“This is going to be the crux of the support staff. As I said, we still have one month after the Sri Lanka tour. We will try and finalise after the Sri Lanka tour. They (BCCI) have agreed to most of the things I have asked for. I am really surprised when I was reading all those news. Abhishek, as assistant coach, Ryan, as assistant coach. Abhishek is there, Sairaj Bahutule is there, Dilip is there and Ryan ten Doeschate is going to join in Colombo.” Gambhir concluded.
