No Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel for IND vs BAN 1st Test: Gambhir
Speaking to reporters ahead of the 1st Test, Gambhir said that both Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel would have to wait, given that senior players including KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant were making their comeback to the Test side. He heaped praise on the youngsters, calling them phenomenal players. He asserted that the team believed in picking players who fit in the XI, adding that Sarfaraz and Jurel will have opportunities in the future and that they would have to wait.
“We don’t drop anyone. We just pick the players who fit the XI. Jurel is a phenomenal player when Pant is coming in; sometimes people have to wait. Same with Sarfaraz. There will be opportunities, but you have to wait,” Gautam Gambhir said.
