Ganguly confident KKR v LSG won’t be shifted from Kolkata amid CAB’s uncertainty

Former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly is confident that the KKR vs LSG clash on April 6 will not be moved out of Kolkata

Former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly expressed confidence in Kolkata hosting the KKR vs LSG tie on April 6. While the Kolkata Police had called out “misleading reports” on the match being moved out to Guwahati, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) had claimed that they were still awaiting a response from the BCCI on rescheduling the clash. The tie is being talked about being moved out due to it clashing with the Ram Navami festival.

Ganguly says KKR vs LSG will be held in Kolkata

Just wait and watch what happens next. Have you seen Kolkata Police’s post yesterday? I don’t think the match will be shifted. And in the IPL, I’m supporting Delhi Capitals,” Ganguly was quoted as saying by PTI.

As per the Indian Express, a CAB source claimed that the board is yet to hear from the BCCI on a request for a change in venue.

“We haven’t got any response regarding that yet,” A CAB official said.

No change of venue for KKR vs LSG?

Taking to social media platform X, Kolkata Police stated that they were firmly committed to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens. Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president Snehasish Ganguly had earlier confirmed that the contest, which would coincide with Ram Navami, will be shifted to Guwahati, as per RevSportz. However, the Kolkata Police seem to think otherwise.

“The IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants on April 6 will be moved out of Kolkata and is likely to be played in Guwahati, CAB president Snehasis Ganguly has confirmed. The game was scheduled on the day of Ram Navami,” stated RevSportz.
