India cricket team bowling coach Morne Morkel admitted that winning the IND vs NZ 2nd Test was going to be a tough task but did not rule out the possibility of victory. The hosts find themselves in a perilous position at the end of play on Day 2, with the Kiwis maintaining a 300+ run lead in the 2nd innings with five wickets left in hand. All eyes will be on Washington Sundar and the batting order if India fancy any chances of winning the match.

Speaking at a press conference after the day’s play, Morkel remarked that the match was a “funny game”. He said that tough and tricky conditions will help bring the fight out of the Indian team and stressed for the need to believe in themselves.
“We have to believe. This is a funny game. It’s going to be a tough task. When conditions are tricky and tough, you’ll see real people fight. Excited to see how they bounce back,” Morne Morkel said.
