Back in IPL 2017, Glenn Maxwell was its life’s lowest. Back then he was playing for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). Back then, Maxwell left the team hotel without informing his managers and liaison officers to party at resort which was apparently far away from the team hotel. The Aussie all-rounder got drunk and in a state of intoxication almost lost his life.
Maxwell fell from his cycle while retuning from the party to team hotel and was almost run over by speeding traffic. Fornutaely he was returned safely to the team hotel.

Then in the Ranchi Test, Maxwell was accused of spot fixing, especially in a Test match where he slammed his maiden ton. “I was shocked, I was a bit hurt by it as well,” Maxwell told SEN’s Whateley at the time. “I still remember the feeling after hugging Steve Smith after getting my maiden Test hundred – to have that tarnished by these allegations was pretty devastating. Obviously absolutely no truth to it whatsoever (to the allegations)… To tarnish one of the best moments of my career was pretty brutal. The only thing they could have done that would be worse is tarnish that World Cup.

Maxwell’s inspired knock is the fastest ever by an Australian man in ODI cricket, and stands as the fourth fastest of all time, with AB de Villiers’ 31-ball ton against West Indies in 2015 still leading the way.
The 35-year-old brought up his fifty from 27 balls, and accelerated in extraordinary fashion, taking just 13 further deliveries to reach three figures.
