Fresh off World Cup win, Rohit Sharma inaugurates cricket academy in USA

Rohit Sharma was supposed to inaugurate the cricket academy during the T20 World Cup but ran out of time.

Indian team captain Rohit Sharma, following India’s T20 World Cup victory, travelled back to Dallas to inaugurate the CricKingdom Cricket Academy. This marks the 42nd academy for the franchise, spanning six countries.

USA’s popularity in cricket

Rohit, the brand ambassador for CricKingdom, reportedly committed to attending the opening even before the World Cup. The country’s recent hosting of the T20 World Cup group stage has significantly boosted cricket’s popularity there. The new academy in Dallas, the second one in the city, caters to this growing enthusiasm.

Retired from T20I

Following the conclusion from the world cup,
Rohit has recently retired from T20 Internationals. He will continue playing in ODIs and Tests, providing continued leadership and guidance for the Indian team.
