Formula 1, Abu Dhabi GP: There was late drama, early controversy and late controversy as Red Bull’s Max Verstappen denied 7-time world champion Lewis Hamilton secure his record-breaking eighth F1 world title. Max cut down 17-second lead to win the race in Abu Dhabi after late safety car changed the equation. Rohit Sharma, Robert Lewandowski among many other athletes were ecstatic with the win.
India’s limited-overs captain Rohit Sharma compared the race to a last-ball six while Robert Lewandowski congratulated Max Verstappen on the win.

Former F1 driver Marcus Ericsson also congratulated Max Verstappen.

However, George Russell who will replace Valtteri Bottas next season at Mercedes wasn’t happy with the way things went. He called it unacceptable.
“This is unacceptable. Max is an absolutely fantastic driver who has had an incredible season and I have nothing but huge respect for him, but what just happened is absolutely unacceptable. I cannot believe what we’ve just seen,” Geroge Russell said.
