Former India cricketer lauds Rohit Sharma’s captaincy after IND vs AFG 2nd T20I win

Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra praised Rohit Sharma's captaincy following India's victory in the second T20I against Afghanistan in Indore.

Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra was in all praises for Captain Rohit Sharma who led Inida to their 1oth win on the trot during IND vs AFG 2nd T20I.

“We should clap for Rohit Sharma as a captain. Every time he comes in, he shows how capable he is with his planning” said Chopra in his new video.

India secured a decisive six-wicket victory over Afghanistan in the second T20I, solidifying their unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-game series, which serves as the final buildup before the T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies. Captain Rohit Sharma made history by becoming the first player to participate in 150 T20Is, while star batsman Virat Kohli made a noteworthy return to the format after a hiatus of over 14 months.

India won the toss and chose to bowl first, mirroring their approach from the first T20I. Gurbaz, positioned at the top of the order, showcased an explosive performance, consistently dispatching the ball to various parts of the park. However, Captain Rohit Sharma strategically introduced his trump card, Bishnoi, into the attack as early as the third over. This move paid off as Bishnoi successfully removed the dangerous Gurbaz.

Former cricketer Chopra also commended Captain Rohit Sharma for this tactical decision. he said, ” Rohit Sharma brought in Bishnoi first and what happened? Gurbaz fell, Ibrahim fell. ”
