Good news for Mumbai cricket team. Prithvi Shaw is fit after a long injury lay-off. He will join the team ahead of Bengal vs Mumbai Ranji Trophy 2024 clash starting Feb 2. It is also good news for Delhi Capitals. Shaw was a doubtful starter for IPL 2024 but now that he is free, DC will breathe a sigh of relief.
“Once the NCA notified us of Prithvi having been decleared fit, the selection committee added him to the squad for the next Ranji Trophy game,” Ajinkya Naik, the Mumbai Cricket Association secretary, told Sportstar.

Follow-up MRI scans revealed a a Grade II tear of posterior cruciate ligament. He had to undergo surgery. After recovery, he reported to the National Cricket Academy of India in Bengaluru.
While there were doubts whether he would be able to make a return in Ranji Trophy, NCA’s clearance has now put those to the bed.
The out of favour Indian opener now will relaunch his bid to return to the India side. Ranji Trophy 2024 will be his first step followed by IPL 2024.
