Fight fire with fire! Onus on Indian spin department to counter Bengal Tigers in IND vs BAN Tests

Onus on India's spin department to prepare for tough fight against visitors after Bangladesh stun Pakistan in Rawalpindi

Bangladesh Cricket Team made the headlines after stunning Pakistan. And a huge credit goes to the Bangladeshi spinners for their heroics in Rawalpindi. And as a result, the onus will be on the Indian spinners to fight fire with fire in the upcoming IND vs BAN Test series. The Indian spin department will have to weave their magic to cancel out Bangladesh’s strong spin attack.

India Cricket Team has a strong spin department. And the four spinners can work wonders in the Indian pitches. It is highly unlikely that India will produce a rank turner where all 4 spinners can play. However, given the normal trend, India will likely head into the matches with at least 3 spin options.

Onus on Indian Spin Department

Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin are two names that always remain in priority in the red ball format. Now the BCCI Selection Committee, Gautam Gambhir and Rohit Sharma needs to make a choice as for the third spinner. Whether it will be a specialist in Kuldeep Yadav or an all-rounder in Axar Patel remains to be seen.

The India Cricket Team have been ever reliant on both Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. The duo have been the go to bowlers when India have needed wickets and run checking. And naturally the two seniors will be one of the key players for India in the Test series against Bangladesh.

Now that Bangladesh has shown that they are ready to unleash their spin magic, India too won’t hold back. Apart from the Ashwin-Jadeja duo, India will also bring out Axar Patel who has the special knack of picking wickets at regular intervals with Kuldeep Yadav.
