The MSC World Europa, a luxurious cruise ship worth one billion euros, has set sail for Doha to house England footballers’ partners during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Southgate is determined to keep Covid out of his ranks. Given the constraints imposed by the Qatari government, England’s group games will be played under a controlled bubble.

Visitors to World Cup games in Qatar are no longer required to produce a negative Covid test prior visiting the nation. Although this makes it much simpler for fans to visit the area, it increases the likelihood of a Covid epidemic in the region. The Qatar World Cup organisers will require players who test positive for Covid to isolate for five days and wear a mask for another five. They will also be unable to practise with their teammates, posing a major selection problem for Southgate.

Hence, Gareth Southgate’s team is expected to stay away from the MSC World Europa in a strict Covid bubble. The Three Lions will stay in Doha’s Souq Al Wakra hotel for the duration of the competition, which begins on November 20 and concludes on December 18.

After departing a French shipyard in October, the MSC World Europa is presently on her first trip. The Qatar World Cup organisers have secured the luxury ship for the event to compensate for the country’s paucity of hotels and accommodations. The WAGs are said to have reserved accommodations aboard the opulent MSC World Europa. The £1 billion cruise liner boasts six swimming pools, a 643-foot promenade, 13 restaurants, 14 sea-view whirlpools, and more than 30 bars and cafés. During the World Cup, 6,762 people are planned to occupy 2,633 accommodations aboard the ship. Staying on board will cost fans up to £6,000 in five-star packages.
