FIFA World Cup Qualifier: England Captain Harry Kane urges Gareth Southgate to start him against San Marino in England’s final World Cup qualifier fixture: Despite not playing up to his best level for his club side Tottenham Hotspur this season, Harry Kane has arrived on the international stage with all guns blazing. The Englishman netted a perfect 1st half hattrick, helping England to lead 5-0 just after the 1st half, with 2 other goals from Jordan Henderson and Harry Maguire. The Hattrick took Kane’s international tally to 44 goals in 66 appearances for the 3 Lions and propelled Kane to 4th on the all-time list alongside another Tottenham Hotspur legend, Jimmy Greaves. Currently Kane is behind the likes of Gary Lineker (48), Sir Bobby Charlton (49) and Wayne Rooney (53), Kane is now eyeing Rooney’s all-time record of 53 goals.
