In a scathing conversation, Anirudhsinh Jadeja, the father of renowned Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, revealed the strained and distant relationship he shares with his son and daughter-in-law, Rivaba Jadeja.
Anirudhsinh Jadeja bluntly stated to Dainik Bhaskar, “Let me tell you the truth, I have no relation of any kind with Ravi (Ravindra Jadeja) or his wife Rivaba Jadeja. We don’t call them, and they don’t call us. Controversies started happening only after two-three months of Ravi’s marriage. At present, I live alone in Jamnagar, Ravindra lives separately.
“Don’t know what magic the wife has cast on him. He is my son, my heart burns to ashes. It would have been better if he had not got married. It would have been better if he had not become a cricketer. We would not have been in this situation,” Ravindra Jadeja father stated.
The strained family dynamics have come into the limelight, raising eyebrows about the personal challenges faced by the celebrated cricketer. Ravindra Jadeja, born on 6 December 1988, hails from a Gujarati Rajput Hindu family in Navagam Ghed city of Jamnagar district in Gujarat. His father, Anirudh, initially envisioned a career in the Army for his son, but young Ravindra Jadeja harbored a passion for cricket.
Notably, Ravindra Jadeja’s mother Lata died in an accident in 2005. And that trauma almost made him quit as a cricketer.
