Fans slam MCA for sheer mismanagement during IND vs BAN World Cup game at MCA Stadium

Fans were left frustrated & voiced their disappointment at MCA for mismanagement during IND vs BAN World Cup tie.

The BCCI and the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) have been slammed by fans yet again for sheer mismanagement during the India vs Bangladesh (IND vs BAN) World Cup clash. Fans vented their frustration over long queues, parking problems, costly food, and travel difficulties at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

While the Indian Cricket Team clinched a dominating victory over their neighbors, the fans were left frustrated over the mismanagement by the board. Fans took to social media to categorically post videos and pictures of some of the disturbing issues.

Mismanagement by MCA

First things first – the entry of the fans in the stadium. Reports claim that queues as long as 2kms were stationed at 2:30 PM. Though the match started at the scheduled time of 2 PM, fans got their chance to enter the stadium at a much later time. Gate 2 which was separated for VIPs and VVIPs was closed and thus a large queue was formed at Gate 3. Further Gate 5 was opened at a much later time, i.e 3 PM.

Next comes the problem of parking vehicles. The MCA had initially promised free parking for all fans visiting the stadium. But that was not the case. There is a limited parking space outside the stadium and thus it couldn’t accommodate the entirety of the fans that visited the stadium. Moreover, a few people charged Rs. 100 per head from the fans.

Food was also a major problem for the fans. While the MCA had promised food inside the stadium at reasonable rates, that was not the case. Food items were priced at a high price, and to add more difficulty to the fans, the food items were finished very soon.

And lastly comes the difficulty in commutation. Fans had to take a different route to travel the stadium thereby increasing the time duration to travel for the game. Fans claimed that two roads were blocked for the entry of the VIPs and VVIPs and thus as a result, the normal fans had tp take different roads and routes to reach the stadium.
