Family comes first: Deepak Chahar asserts importance of family over playing cricket

Deepak Chahar claims Family especially during emergency comes first ahead of playing cricket for country

Deepak Chahar is ready to set the pace in the upcoming IPL 2024 season. The bowling all-rounder suddenly left the India camp during the IND vs AUS T20I series. he played the first game before returning home. Chahar has now claimed that Family comes first, especially when there is an emergency.

Now no longer with Team India, the 31-year old seeks vengeance. Chahar has been a utility player for CSK but his stint so far both for country and franchisee has been marred with injuries. Chahar claims after his rehab he is coming back as an improved cricketer.

“I’d say family comes first. If there’s a family emergency, you don’t think about anything else,” Deepak Chahar said.

“When you face a situation like this, you don’t think about what’s going to happen next. When I came out of that situation, I could think about what next I can do. When anyone sees me play the next time, they should be thinking: ‘he’s an improved cricketer’,” Chahar added.

Deepak Chahar is now preparing to make comeback into action. He will be willing to star for MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The Yellow Army will look to defend their title and Chahar is expected to play a crucial role in the team.
