India’s ace spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has squashed all rumors about Sanju Samson rejecting an offer to join Chennai Super Kings. Taking to social media, Ashwin has pointed out the Fake News claiming not to quote him in a wrong manner.
The social media was buzzed when a video from Ashwin’s YT channel went viral. But now Ashwin has come to squash the rumours claiming it to be fake news.
“Sanju Samson was approached by CSK as a captain which was nearly finalised. But it dint go through Sanju rejected their offer. Theres a definite possibility in future” made the headlines. But the veteran spinner came out to shut down the rumours. Ashwin was quick and crisp with his reply. He wrote on X, “Fake news! Dont lie quoting me 🙏”

The initial rumours panned out that Chennai Super Kings had approached the Rajasthan Royals skipper to join the Yellow Army. Initial reports claimed that the CSK management thinks Sanju Samson will be an ideal replacement for CSK’s talisman MS Dhoni.
There is quite an uncertainty about the future of MS Dhoni. The former India team skipper won CSK’s 5th IPL trophy last season beating Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans. There was a certain buzz that MS Dhoni might retire but the great man has decided to continue and is yet to hang his boots.
