Facing humiliation, Babar Azam and Co. likely to bow out of T20 World Cup

Babar Azam and Co. received a lot of criticism from former Pakistani players after their back to back losses in T20 World Cup.

Cricket experts from across the globe came out heavily against Babar Azam and Co. after they lost back-to-back T20 World Cup games against USA and India. On both occasions, Pakistan had control on the game, but they somehow managed to lose both matches. After receiving so much flak from their former players and fans, it is likely that the under-confident Babar Azam and Co. will make an early exit from T20 World Cup.

Experts lash out at Babar and Co.

After suffering back-to-back losses, against USA and India, several former Pakistani cricketers lashed out at Babar Azam and Co. Let us check out some of their comments. “I think I should have a template text ‘disappointed and hurt’ automatically set to be posted,” wrote former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar on X,.

Pakistan’s former fast bowling greats Waqar Younis and Wasim Akram, who commentated during the IND vs PAK game from New York, also vented their anger after the defeat against India. “They have been playing cricket for 10 years and I can’t teach them,” Akram said. “Rizwan has no game awareness. He should have known Bumrah was given the ball to take wickets and that the wise thing would have been to play his deliveries cautiously. But, Rizwan went for the big shot and lost his wicket.

“Pakistan, if you can’t win this game, what should I say? he said. “This was given to you on a plate and Pakistan really spilled it. It was horrible performance by the Pakistan batters. Earlier, Waqar also expressed his disappointment when Pakistan lost to USA. He said, “I cannot watch this, USA is all over Pakistan. This is pathetic from Pakistan.”

After losing two of their opening matches, Babar Azam and Co will now face Canada in their next T20 World Cup match on Tuesday.
