Former Pakistan cricketer Younis Khan called for a regular series between arch-rivals India and Pakistan, noting that it was very important for both countries. Khan’s remarks come two weeks ahead of IND vs PAK T20 World Cup clash which will take place on June 9 in New York. Both countries currently lock horns only in ICC events, owing to geopolitical conflicts between the nations.

Speaking to reporters, Khan flagged that the series was important to reduce the pressure that a team faces when they play a side only in the World Cups. He stated that star players emerge from IND vs PAK series who go on to become one of the best for their sides. The ex-cricketer urges the governments and the boards to come together to hold a series, noting that the players of both sides already share a very good bond.
