Ex-England captain in awe of ‘astounding’ Yashasvi Jaiswal after IND vs ENG 3rd Test heroics

Yashasvi Jaiswal became only the 3rd Indian after Vinod Kambli and Virat Kohli to hit double hundreds in successive Tests.

Former England captain Michael Atherton has lauded India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal for his double century as India claimed a massive 434-run victory in the IND vs ENG 3rd Test in Rajkot.

A stellar performance from Jaiswal and Ravindra Jadeja handed India their biggest win in terms of run while England succumber to their secong biggest defeat.

“They’ve got some fantastic players today we saw two of them. In particular, young Yashasvi Jaiswal who played a brilliant innings that doubled 100 of staggering quality and splattered England’s bowlers all over the park. ” Atherton told to Sky Sports.

India, buoyed by Jaiswal’s heroics, swiftly dismantled England, bundling them out for a mere 122 runs. Ravindra Jadeja emerged as the tormentor-in-chief, claiming five wickets for 41 runs with his left-arm spin. In under 40 overs, India seized control of the match, surging to a 2-1 lead in the series.
