India vs Australia: Ravi Shastri’s dressing room speech on return will give you goosebumps, make you smile

Shreyas Iyer was awarded the Fielder of the Match medal for his direct hit in Champions Trophy semis by none other than Ravi Shastri

India cricket team stars were in for a surprise when a very special guest reunited with his boys in the dressing room following the win against Australia. Former India coach Ravi Shastri awarded the Fielder of the Match medal to Shreyas Iyer, but not before he had some inspiring words to say. The Men in Blue erupted as they saw Shastri walking down to the dressing room, addressing Rohit Sharma and co. with his booming voice.

Shastri hands fielding medal to Iyer

The contenders for the fielder medal in the Champions Trophy semi-final against Australia were Iyer, Jadeja, Gill and Virat Kohli. After heaping praises on the team for their collective effort on the field and the contenders individually, fielding coach T Dilip called upon Shastri to present the medal to the winner. The former coach delivered an inspiring speech to the boys before he handed the medal to Shreyas.

Individual brilliance will take you only to a certain level. But is the collective team effort that will take you across the finishing line when champions play. Today, two champions were playing, it was a pressure game, character was shown and it was a team effort. Flashes of brilliance in the field always make a difference.. Normally it is the turning point. One more to go,” Shastri said.
