The Euro 2024 is slated to commence from 14th June 2024. And the deadline for the squad announcement has been set a week prior to it. None of the teams have released their squad, and thus will be making the final cut after the conclusion of their international friendlies.
UEFA has been requested to delay the deadline for the Euro Squad submission. This is mainly owing to the fact that the deadline for submission is just 2 hours after the teams play their international friendlies.
But it is highly unlikely that the UEFA will delay the date for the squad submission. As per the rules, every team needs to submit the final squad by 7th June which is exactly 1 week prior to the start of the tournament.

There are also concerns regarding the squad limit. While the current squad size is 23, proposals and requests have been made to make it 26. As for the squad submission fiasco, it is England and Scotland who have mainly raised the concerns. The Three Lions would be facing Iceland and Scotland in their last round of international friendlies.
As for England, Gareth Southgate is set to announce his pre Euro squad within 2 weeks. Like every other team, the final list will be trimmed down to 23 players. While Southgate prefers a 23-member squad, Germany’s Julian Nageslmann has claimed that he would prefer a 26 member squad.
The UEFA in their meeting will address the issue regarding a potential increase in current squad strength. As per the rules, a team can replace any player before playing their first game of the tournament. But the catch, the player needs to be injured and medical statements are required to prove that the player can’t continue playing in the tournament.
