Asia Cup 2023: IND vs PAK: Pakistan pace sensation Shaheen Afridi has said that he enjoyed getting the wicket of Rohit Sharma more than captain Virat Kohli in IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023 clash. Afridi, who picked his first 4-fer against India, dismissed both the star batters to dismantle the Men in Blue early in the innings.
During the innings break, Afridi revealed that the team’s plan was to get few early wickets to push Team India back.

“That was our plan with the new ball (to strike early). I think both (Virat and Rohit) were crucial wickets, every batter is the same for me. But I think I liked (taking) Rohit’s wicket better and enjoyed it more,” said Shaheen in a mid-innings chat with the broadcasters.
Notably, Shaheen started on a weaker note, giving away few boundaries to Indian skipper. However, the rain delay helped the young pacer to get back to his rhythm.
Afridi found some movement to beat Rohit twice and got the Indian opener with a fiery inswinger which hit the top of the off-stump.
In his next over, Shaheen forced an error as Virat Kohli chopped onto his stumps while trying to find room. It also made Afridi the first bowler in international cricket to get Rohit and Kohli bowled in an ODI match in his opening spell.
Afridi then came back at death to get rid of both Haridk Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja in the same over to stage Pakistan’s comeback and limit India to 266.
Apart from Shaheen, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf were the other wicket takers, picking 3 wickets each.
