England to play all-spin attack in IND vs ENG 2nd Test? ‘Won’t be afraid’, says Brendon McCullum

England's head coach Brendon McCullum has said that the team is not afraid to play all-spin attack in the second Test in Visakhapatnam.

After securing a remarkable win in IND vs ENG 1st Test in Hyderabad with their spin-trio, head coach Brendon McCullum has said that the team is not afraid to play all-spin attack in the second Test in Visakhapatnam.

Notably, young spinner Shoaib Bashir joined the England squad in middle of Hyderabad Test after receiving his visa a day before the start of the series.

“He was obviously with us in the camp in Abu Dhabi and he really impressed with his skill sets. He fits in the group. He again like Tom Hartley has little first-class experience but we thought his skill could help us in here“, McCullum said on SENZ Radio.

“He also come to calculation for the next Test match. We won’t be afraid to play all spinners if the wickets will turn more,” he further added.

The former Kiwi skipper also heaped high praise on debutant Tom Hartley who picked a 7-wicket haul to power visitors to an unlikely win.

“We saw something in him that we thought will work over here. He is a tough character and the way skipper handled him was quite remarkable as well. He obviously bowled us to the Test win“, McCullum added.
