Predicted England Playing XI: Gus Atkinson & Mark Wood likely in Dharamsala Test

England Playing XI: England Cricket Team targets consolation win in dead rubber IND vs ENG 5th Test in Dharamshala

With nothing to lose, England Cricket Team will clash toe-to-tow with Team India. Though the IND vs ENG Dharamshala Test is deemed as dead rubber it is important for both teams. England will eye a consolation win while India will look to strengthen their WTC Rankings. The Three Lions will be hoping the Dharamshala conditions work in their favour.

Focus will be both on England’s batting and bowling. In general both the departments have been subpar except the Hyderabad Test. India has overpowered the Three Lions across all departments. England are unlikely to make any radical changes in their Playing XI.

The opening pair of Ben Duckett and Zac Crawley have more or less faired decently. The duo have been the only batters to have brandished England’s aggressive Bazball style of play. With conditions similar to England, it can be expected that the duo will be ready to put up a big show.

At Number 3, comes England’s vice captain Ollie Robinson. He too has been decent enough for the visitors. With nothing to lose, England plans on putting up a big show, and will bank on Robinson’s explosive batting.

England were largely boosted by Joe Root returning to form with a century in the previous game. The Three Lions will dearly hope for their Fab 5 batter to consolidate their innings with yet another big score.

Latest on IND vs ENG Test

England’s main concern has been the lower middle order. The enforcers, Ben Stokes, Jonny Bairstow and Ben Foakes have failed to score big runs with the bat. As for the bowling unit, James Anderson and Ollie Robinson will spearhead the pace attack. On the other hand, Shoaib Bashir and Tom Hartley will handle the spin department.
