England have always spoken a better game than they played: Farokh Engineer

IND vs ENG Test: Farokh Engineer claims England speak better than the game they play ahead of IND vs ENG 1st Test in Hyderabad

The India vs England series is just a draw away. Former India great Farokh Engineer however has spoken highly about the England Cricket Team. Engineer went on to say that England are never low in confidence and have always spoken a better game than they have actually played.

The IND vs ENG Test series kick starts on 25th January in Hyderabad when the two sides meet for an epic encounter. Farokh Engineer praised the England Team for adapting this aggressive and exciting style of play in Test cricket.

Farokh Engineer was lauded with BCCI’s Lifetime Achievement Award the other day. “England are never low on confidence. England have always spoken a better game than they played. They’ll talk big. Bazball and all, let’s see how this Bazball works,” Engineer told RevSportz in an Exclusive interview.

Questions have been raised whether England’s Bazball approach will work in Indian pitches or not. The Three Lions have been dubbed as underdogs in the series owing to India’s dominant and superior form in Test cricket in home.

“I’ve played Bazball, before Bazball was invented. Brendon McCullum is a great guy and I am glad England has adopted this positive approach to Test Cricket. This makes Test Cricket more attractive to watch,” he added.

“5-day Test cricket is real cricket. I hope the game lasts 5 days. You want a pitch that is 50-50 in helping both batters and bowlers,” Engineer concluded.
