ECB Sky Sports Deal: The multi-year deal will reportedly see the bulk of international and domestic cricket stay on Comcast-owned Sky.

  • The current agreement between ECB & SKY ends in 2024
  • As per reports in UK media, both the parties are now in advanced stage to seal 10 year extension for the rights.
  • The deal signed in 2017, is reportedly worth US$289 million a year. 
  • The deal enables Sky broadcast first class county and home international matches.

What will be the value of NEW-DEAL? The value of new 10 year deal is expected to cross USD 3 Billion. This will make ECB Rights the 3rd highest revenue generation property in the Cricket World.

England Cricket Broadcast Rights: Bumper $3 Billion worth Broadcast deal coming ECB way, England Cricket Board ready to renew deal with SKY-SPORTS

ECB Sky Sports Deal: Sky will reportedly continue to share rights to some matches with the BBC.

The public service broadcaster currently has live rights to four international Twenty20 matches (two men’s and two women’s) and ten matches from the ECB’s new short-form franchise tournament The Hundred, including the finals.

The ECB posted a loss of US$21.1 million for the 2020/21financial year.
