England skipper Ben Stokes failed to understand a question posed by a Pakistan journalist on the eve of PAK vs ENG 3rd Test

Another day, another Pakistan journalist has done it! England cricket team captain Ben Stokes was left puzzled after he was posed a question on the Rawalpindi pitch by a media person on the eve of PAK vs ENG 3rd Test. Stokes isn’t the first overseas player to be troubled by the questions asked in broken English by journalists in the sub-continental countries. Fans simply cant forget the golden moments on the mic given by Dickwella, Andre Russell and others in the past when it came to taking and answering questions that were botched.

Ben Stokes fails to understand Pakistan journalist’s question

In a video that is being widely circulated on social media, a reporter is heard asking Ben Stokes about the Rawalpindi pitch. He was heard posing the question twice, both occasions on which the England captain failed to understand what was being said. Stokes finally managed to get words out of his mouth in the third attempt.

Stokes was asked if England looked to emulate their 800+ run-innings from Multan in the PAK vs ENG 3rd Test as well. A lifeless pitch in Multan saw over 1200 runs being scored while 27 wickets fell over a period of five days. The hosts were handed an innings and 47-run defeat after their strategy to declare on scoring 556 runs in the 1st innings back fired.

Pakistan decided to use the same track once again for PAK vs ENG 2nd Test, the first team to do so in a long time. But this time, it worked in their favour. Amid all the criticism over the pitch, the side decided to make some bold calls in team selection and it led to Pakistan ending their winless steak at home finally, leveling the series against England 1-1. Shan Masood and co. are now eyeing to seal the series with another win in the 3rd Test that begins on Thursday.
