ENG vs PAK Highlights: England end horror World Cup run with 93-run win over PAK

ENG vs PAK Highlights: England have ended their horror World Cup run on a positive note after defeating Pakistan by 93 runs in their last match of Cricket World Cup 2023 in Kolkata on Saturday. With this win, the English side have also qualified for the Champions Trophy 2025. Chasing 338, Pakistan were bundled out for 244. Agha Salman was the top scorer for Pakistan with 51. Meanwhile, David Willey, who played his final international game, returned with figures of 3/56.

Earlier, England posted a mammoth 337/9 in 50 overs. Ben Stokes (84), Joe Root (60) and Jonny Bairstow (59) scored half-centuries as the defending champions post their first 300 total in the tournament. Haris Rauf was the pick of the bowlers for the Pakistan team.

Despite being out of the ongoing tournament, England had their sights set on qualifying for the Champions Trophy 2025. The top eight teams, including hosts Pakistan, will participate in the tournament. England currently hold the seventh place with three wins from nine games.
