England’s reply was emphatic, led by a stunning 171-run innings from Harry Brook, which helped them post a massive 499 in their first innings. In their second outing, New Zealand struggled to erase the deficit and managed only 254 runs, leaving England a manageable target of 104, which they comfortably chased to take a 1-0 series lead.
