Chris Woakes was at the centre of things as Australia crumbled in the powerplay against England during their clash in the T20 World Cup. Put into bat, Australia never got going as Chris Woakes fired in all cylinders. After having nicked Warner off with just his second delivery, the England all-rounder triggered a collapse with some brilliant acrobatics in the field, plucking a catch out of thin air to send back Steve Smith. The Australian star miscued while pulling a Chris Jordan delivery, and Woakes ran back to pull off a one-handed catch stunner to send Smith back to the pavilion. Watch the video here:

Chris Woakes continued to inflict damage on the Australians, as he returned to send the in-form Glenn Maxwell back to the pavilion. Woakes trapped Maxwell in for his second wicket of the day to have Australia reeling at 15-3. The English all-rounder needed his spell with figures of 2/7 in his three overs, as Australia just managed 21/3 in the powerplay.
