Australia cricketer Glenn Maxwell is under investigation by Cricket Australia (CA) for the drinking incident that took place in Adelaide on Sunday, cricketer’s manager Ben Tippett confirmed on Tuesday to The Age.
“Glenn is a little embarrassed by the whole thing,” Maxwell’s manager Ben Tippett told this masthead. “He was a bit sore and sorry on Saturday, but he’s back in Melbourne and resumed training yesterday. He’s not under investigation by Cricket Australia”, Tippett was quoted as saying by The Age.
CA medical staff reportedly spoke to Maxwell to determine whether he had suffered a concussion on the night.
Earlier, reports surfaced that Maxwell was briefly hospitalized after an ‘alcohol-related incident’ during a concert in Adelaide. Cricket Australia confirmed that they were ‘investigating’ the incident.
