Elite mentality: Jasprit Bumrah reveals how he believes that he is the best in his mind

Jasprit Bumrah reveals that in his mind that he is best, reveals how over aggression often leads to own team getting hurt

Jasprit Bumrah is arguably one of the best bowlers of the world. But the ace India Cricket Team pacer has revealed that in his head he believes that he is very good. Though Bumrah has left the people and fans to decide who is the best bowler in the planet. The Indian speedster has claimed that his confidence is high and as a child he loved the sport and he wants to do everything to make his team win.

Furthermore, Jasprit Bumrah claimed that he advocates for the bowlers. In a game that is dominated by batsmen, Bumrah believes that it is the bowlers who drive the game.

Best in the World?

“That is something that is not for me to decide. In my head, even when I started, I would always think that I’m very good. Because if I don’t believe in myself, who else will? The narratives can change every now and then but in my head, I have a lot of confidence that I am good … As a child, I fell in love with fast bowling and I wanted to make my team win,” Jasprit Bumrah told the Indian Express.

Cricket is a game of aggression. Every player has their own way of showcasing aggression. Bumrah claims that it is futile to copy someone else’s aggression. He claims that it is not good to go overboard with aggression where in turn it could hurt the team more.

“Aggression has a lot of meanings. You could be calm and you can still be aggressive. You have to understand who you are as a person. You cannot try to copy someone. You have to find out what works for you. You can’t be pretending to be aggressive because you’ll be called out eventually,” Bumrah added

I’m a fast bowler, I don’t enjoy getting hit. When I was a youngster, I would get angry and then try to bowl very fast. That never worked for me as I would lose line and length, and that would not help the team. So, I realised that it’s not necessary to be angry or go overboard,” Bumrah concluded.
