Sri Lanka will take on the Netherlands in match 19 of the ICC Men’s World Cup at Ekana Cricket Stadium. The Dutch are coming off a morale-boosting 38-run win over South Africa, and have managed to register their first World Cup win over a Test-playing nation. Meanwhile, the Lankans are the only team to not have won any matches in the tournament so far.
The Island nation have played three games, and have encountered thumping loss. However, there is a glimmer of hope for the side when they face the Dutch at Ekana Stadium as the pitch would suit them more.
So far, two matches have been played at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, and the spinners thrived on the low and slow surface. SA vs AUS was played on the surface, where the former posted 311 batting first.
Australia could not overhaul the target as SA spinners choked them. Sri Lanka have quite a few good spinners at their disposal, and they could prove to be a handful at the Ekana surface.

Ekana Cricket Stadium: Advantage Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka would be playing their second game on the Ekana Cricket Stadium surface. They played the first one against Australia, where Adam Zampa picked four wickets. On this surface, even a target of 250 or above would be tough to chase as the odd balls will keep low.
Both Sri Lanka and the Netherlands would want to bat on the spin-friendly Ekana surface and try to post a big score on the board.
The Lankans have a huge advantage going into the contest as they are loaded with quality spinners compared to the Dutch.
Although Theekshana looked off color against Australia, the off-spinner will be aiming to bounce back strongly in the helpful Ekana Cricket Stadium surface.
